From misty Scottish forests to salt-sprayed shorelines, Karinann and her dogs capture everything Woof & Snout stands for - adventure, creativity, humour, and heart. Based in Fife, Scotland, Karinann is a photographer, artist, horse rider, crocheter, illustrator… and all-round creative soul who somehow manages to make even muddy ears and chaotic zoomies look like art.

📍 Meet Karinann

If there’s one word that sums up Karinann, it’s creative - though that barely scratches the surface. When she’s not out adventuring with her dogs, you’ll find her horse riding, drawing, crocheting, photographing, or generally turning everyday moments into something special.

Her Instagram feed (@SveinTheSpringer) is a beautiful mix of dog life, nature, and Woof & Snout favourites - lovingly described by Karinann herself as “a Woof & Snout fan page 😂” - and honestly… she’s not wrong.

🐶 The Dogs (and Their Personalities)

Svein

  • Breed: Springer Spaniel
  • Age: 2½
  • Personality: Goofy, jolly, lovable

Svein is the kind of dog who doesn’t test the water - he commits. Karinann’s favourite memory of him is the first time he discovered the ocean… by diving straight in, head first, without hesitation. All or nothing. Very on brand.

With his brown-and-white coat and a literal heart-shaped marking on his side (yes, really), Svein somehow suits every colour thrown his way - from earthy browns to blues, neutrals, brights, and even pinks.

While Svein may steal the spotlight, we’d be absolutely remiss not to mention Ernesto - adorably grumpy, lovingly referred to as the potato. What started as a family joke turned into one of our favourite custom projects ever… a magical, sparkly potato-inspired birthday collar.

Because when someone asks you to make a potato collar, you don’t question it - you just make it ✨magical✨.

🌲 Adventures & Everyday Magic

A typical walk for Karinann and Svein involves her strolling calmly… while Svein runs approximately 47 laps around her, diving into bushes and collecting half the forest in his ears.

Their favourite dog-friendly spot? Blairadam’s Forest, where woodland paths meet that unmistakable feeling of freedom - and where Karinann’s camera is always by her side.

🤎 Life with Woof & Snout

Karinann was one of the very first people I followed on Instagram when Woof & Snout had only been open a few months. Svein was a tiny puppy, the photos were already incredible, and I remember building up the courage to reach out for a collaboration.

Their very first collab featured a Mist x Cherry arrow collar, and the images were so stunning and Karinann herself was so lovely. We knew instantly - this was just the beginning.

 

Since then, Karinann has become such a core part of the Woof & Snout family:

  • An ambassador whose creativity elevates everything she touches
  • An incredibly talented product photographer, starting with our Glee Birmingham trade show range
  • The queen of nightly recap messages in the ambassador group chat (truly 10/10)
  • And someone whose humour and warmth make everyone smile when she pops up

 

She’s also drawn beautiful dog portraits and crocheted the most thoughtful toys for our toddler, Anastasia - which honestly says everything you need to know about the kind of person she is. Ana's Christmas present this year from Karinann? An amazing hand-crocheted camera of her very own!

In May, we finally got to meet in person during a photography trip to Scotland - and we’re beyond excited (and very proud) to be welcoming Karinann with us at Crufts 2026.
